The Chula Vista Police Department will host a recruiting information event on Saturday where police officers will give information about career opportunities.

Community members will be able to hear the presentations in person at the Chula Vista Police Department from 9 a.m. through 12 p.m at 315 4th Avenue. The department is offering entry-level police recruit positions for those seeking to enter a career in municipal law enforcement.

After successfully completing the Police Academy, the Police Recruit will then automatically promote to the classification of Peace Officer.

A Peace Officer's salary ranges from $7,028.43 to $8.542 monthly. According to the department, peace officers will receive an additional 4 percent pay increase and a $2,00 stipend in July 2022. They will receive an additional 3 percent pay increase and $2,000 stipend in July 2023.
