You may have seen him under the Friday Night Lights at Mater Dei Catholic last year en route to their C.I.F. title.

Jaylen Hall verbally committed to The University of Montana over the weekend as he enters his senior year of high school at Mater Dei Catholic in Chula Vista.

The local high school football star appeared on KUSI's Prep Pigskin Report recently to announce his decision, accompanied by his family members who have seen him evolve to a high school football star that will soon make his way up the northwest for a collegiate career.

"I want to thank my mom, my dad, my coach and teammates, I could not be here if it wasn't for them," said the senior receiver on the Prep Pigskin Report.

Hall would be joining a football program that is currently undefeated with a 4-0 record and they currently sit at the very top of the Big Sky Conference.

Jaylen has recently paid a visit on campus not long ago, and the treatment he gets from the football program ultimately became a deciding factor in selecting his college football destination.

The 6-foot-tall receiver says that the coaching staff has been consistent with making sure he feels appreciated by Montana's football program by staying in contact with him throughout the process.

"The whole process since I got there, coach has always been there for me, asking me how my day has been, how practice was, and everything else," Jaylen Hall added.

The 172-pound football star averaged up to 20 yards per touch in last year's incredible season for the Crusaders, accumulating five total touchdowns for Jaylen, three scored on the ground, and a pair of touchdowns up in the air.
