A 34-year-old teacher at Lincoln Acres Elementary School in National City who was arrested earlier this week for allegedly committing lewd and lascivious acts on a 13-year-old former student has been re-arrested on suspicion of additional crimes.
Jacqueline Ma was taken into custody again by detectives while she was out on bail, according to the National City Police Department. The police department did not disclose the nature of the new allegations but described them as "additional felony charges" in a prepared statement.
The initial accusations came to light when a parent of one of Ma's former students reported to the police that the teen had been in an "inappropriate relationship" with the teacher.
The National City Police Department did not provide any further details and stated that they will not release any additional information due to the ongoing investigation and the victim being a minor.
