The 33 year old suspect was arrested in Springfield, Ill. with the help of the U.S Marshal’s Service Fugitive Task Force according to the Chula Vista Police Department. Reasonover was taken into custody under suspicion of violating his parole.
Richard Bernal, 41, was shot and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. As of Wednesday, the 17-year-old boy injured during the shooting is in stable condition according to police.
Detectives from the Chula Vista Police Department traveled to Springfield for an interview and aid in a search warrant at the home where he was arrested. Until Reasonover can be extradited to San Diego County, he will be held in Illinois.
