San Diego Police Department Investigators found the missing Indiana woman Lateche Norris, who confirmed in-person she is safe and not the victim of any crime.

Police searched for the missing woman for nearly a month. A surveillance video of Norris, 20 and her boyfriend Joey Smith, 25 was released on Dec.2 by SDPD. The surveillance footage was captured at approximately 11:25 p.m on Nov.4 at 7-Eleven store located at 222 Park Blvd in San Diego.

Norris last spoke to her mother, Cheryl Walker, on Nov.5 through a stranger’s phone after a fight with Smithland ensued the night before. A missing persons report was filed with the SDPD on Nov.10.  A social media campaign was launched by Walker where updates and tips surrounding the case are shared.

“Ms. Norris thanked the public for their concern and asked for privacy. The San Diego Police Department thanks its public safety and community partners in locating Ms. Norris,” SDPD Lt. Adam Sharki said in a statement.
