The new Chick-fil-A Chula Vista West will offer dine-in, drive-thru, carryout, and outdoor ordering through a walk-up window, operating from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The restaurant is expected to create approximately 120 full- and part-time jobs in the community. To celebrate the opening, Chick-fil-A is honoring 100 local heroes with free entrées for a year, recognizing their contributions to the area.
Local Leadership and Community Impact
Michael Gonzales, a longtime Chula Vista resident and graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University, will serve as the local Owner-Operator for the new location, marking his second Chick-fil-A restaurant in San Diego County. Gonzales also operates Chick-fil-A Mile of Cars Way in National City.
Gonzales, who completed the company’s Leadership Development Program, brings a hands-on approach to managing his restaurants. He emphasizes leadership development within his team and fostering connections with local organizations and businesses.
“I chose to pursue a career with Chick-fil-A because of how it cares for its people and the communities it’s in,” said Gonzales. “My goal is to develop leaders within my team while serving our Guests delicious food with exceptional hospitality. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to expand our impact with the opening of Chick-fil-A Chula Vista West.”
A Growing Presence in San Diego
Chick-fil-A Chula Vista West is the latest addition to the brand’s growing footprint in the San Diego region, joining more than 20 existing locations. The new restaurant underscores the company’s focus on locally owned and operated franchises, where independent operators actively manage day-to-day operations and engage with their communities.
As the doors open, the new Chick-fil-A aims to offer its signature blend of high-quality food and customer service while contributing positively to Chula Vista.
