San Diego’s soccer fever is about to reach an all-time high as two of the world’s most popular soccer clubs, Manchester United and Wrexham AFC, are set to clash at Snapdragon Stadium tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
Getting to the game will be a breeze with MTS’ direct service to Snapdragon Stadium via the Green Line Trolley. Soccer enthusiasts are encouraged to utilize transit options to avoid any parking hassles and enjoy a stress-free journey to the stadium.
Pre-Match Planning
To cater to the enthusiastic crowd, all transit lines will be operating with normal operations. The Green Line Trolley will be picking up fans at all stations every 15 minutes in both directions.
Post-Match Convenience
After the game, MTS will continue to provide seamless transit services. Green Line Trolleys will depart from Stadium Station at least every 15 minutes for an hour after the event. Additional shuttle services will be made available as needed until the crowds diminish. The last trips will depart Stadium Station at 12:37 a.m. towards downtown and 11:07 p.m. towards Santee, with additional departures at 11:37 p.m. and 12:07 a.m. to SDSU.
UC San Diego Blue and Orange lines will also be serving all stations every 30 minutes post-match.
Helpful Game Day Tips
MTS aims to provide the best fan experience for all attendees and offers the following transit tips:
1. Park&Ride:SoccerfansareencouragedtotakeadvantageofMTS’freetransit station parking facilities and park their cars at Trolley stations. Parking lots are available along all three Trolley lines. For those arriving via the Orange and UC San Diego Blue Line Trolleys, easy transfers to the Green Line can be made downtown at 12th & Imperial Transit Center or Santa Fe Depot.
2. GetYourFareEarly:Toavoidlongticketlinesbeforeandafterthegame,fans should download the PRONTO app or use a PRONTO card to load $5 in advance, covering a round-trip Adult fare ($3 for seniors with a Senior PRONTO card). To board the Trolley, attendees must tap or scan their Trolley passes at a station validator before boarding, as fares will be checked at the Stadium both pre- and post-game.
3. YouthRideFree:Youngsoccerenthusiastsaged5andundercanrideMTSfor free all day, any day, with no pass required. For kids aged 6-18 years, the Youth Opportunity Pass program allows free MTS rides with a valid Youth PRONTO card or Youth app account.
