Coldplay fans throughout San Diego can enjoy their favorite songs from the iconic British band in a way they have not experienced before.
The San Diego Natural Museum of History will host a Candlelight concert on January 6, where a professional string quartet will be presenting some of the most popular anthems from Coldplay's discography. Instruments such as violins, the viola, and the cello will be surrounded with a full set of candlelights, resulting in a aesthesically-pleasing setting for visitors as soon as they walk into the museum.
The Candelight musician group recently wrapped up a successful tour around the old continent, performing in European cities such as London, Manchester, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona. And now, this group of string masters are bringing their talents to San Diego, ready to provide an experience of a lifetime for Coldplay fans that entered the doors of the San Diego Natural Museum.
The following songs are listed as the songs that will be performed by Zelter String Quarter during each set.
- Clocks
- Shiver
- Speed of Sound
- Trouble
- Fix You
- Paradise
- Something Just Like This
- Adventure of a Lifetime
- Hymn for the Weekend
- Yellow
- My Universe
- The Scientist
- Sky Full of Stars
The Candelight series will first be hosted first on the evening of January 6, and then again on February 17. The performance will take place twice per night, with each performance lasting 60 minutes.
The event welcomes anyone 10 years of age or older, and any adolescent in attendance under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
In addition to their stop in San Diego, Candelight will also be hosting a tribute performance of Taylor Swift songs on Friday, January 21. This tribute will be hosted at the Chapel venue at Liberty Station in Point Loma.
Tickets are now on sale for both tributes through feverup.com.
