San Diego Humane Society is pleased to invite animal lovers to take part in the Walk for Animals — San Diego at NTC Park in Liberty Station on May 6, 2023.
Thousands of supporters and their furry friends will make a lifesaving difference as they walk to raise vital funds for homeless pets, rescue animals and injured wildlife.

This is the organization’s 29th annual Walk for Animals — San Diego, and its biggest fundraising event of the year. The goal is to raise at least $320,000. “After our Walk in Escondido was rained out, we are especially looking forward to spending time with our community and celebrating our shared passion for animals,” said Dr. Gary Weitzman, president and CEO, San Diego Humane Society. “Every dollar we raise helps us be there for the 40,000 animals who will come through our doors this year.”
What: San Diego Humane Society’s Walk for Animals — San Diego. Morning festivities include a pancake breakfast, a 2-mile walk or 1⁄2-mile walk, fun filled doggie activities, live music and vendor booths. Stage remarks by California Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins and San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria.
When: Saturday, May 6, 2023.
• 7 a.m. — Registration, complimentary pancake breakfast, entertainment.
• 8:15 a.m. — Welcome, stage program begins.
• 8:30 a.m. — Blessing of the animals, warm-up and stretch.
• 9 a.m. — Walk begins.
• Dog activities and Vendor Village until 11 a.m.
