On the day after Thanksgiving, County Parks encourages San Diegans to have outdoor experiences. So, head outdoors this Friday, November 24, for “Green Friday.”
As stated in the County’s Parks and Recreation Website, “Green Friday promotes fitness and fun in County parks. Events are active and educational – aligning with our mission to balance recreation with efforts to protect and preserve the land and local environment. Activities are open to residents and visitors of all ages, interests, and abilities, and there is no cost to attend.”
Parking fees will be waived on that day, allowing visitors to enjoy 380 miles of trails at dozens of County parks without worrying about fees. Take advantage of this opportunity for picnicking, playing, and exploring.
