The City of Chula Vista has released a statement informing about the closures and changes in the hours of its facilities during this holiday season. All the facilities will remain closed on December 25 and January 1. To know the exact dates and hours, please refer to the list below.
Police and Fire: Emergency 9-1-1 response will remain fully operational; police officers and firefighters will maintain regular schedules, with the police lobby closed on December 25 and January 1.
Animal Care Facility: will be closed December 24 and 25, reopening at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 26; closed December 31 and January 1, reopening at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2.
Community Centers: Chula Vista Community Centers will be open for scheduled programming with camps, classes, and rentals from December 18 through January 7, except for holiday closures on December 25 and January 1. Libraries: All three Chula Vista Public Libraries, including Civic Center, South, and Otay Ranch branches, will be open December 26-30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The libraries will be closed on December 24, 25, 31, and January 1 and resume regular hours on January 2, 2024.
Public Works Operations: Closed December 25 and January 1 City Hall/Civic Center Complex: Administrative offices at 276 Fourth Ave. (City Attorney, City Clerk, City Manager, Economic Development, Human Resources, Housing and Homeless Services, Fire Administration, Fire Prevention, Development Services, Engineering, Finance, Mayor and Council offices) will be closed on December 25 and January 1.
