CHULA VISTA. Just a few hours before National Librarian’s Day, the library in Otay Ranch opened in its new location, with larger facilities and more spaces for the student community.
Although its opening was scheduled for the end of March, it opened this week on April 15 at 2015 Birch Road, Suite 1103 in Otay Ranch Town Center, where the librarians celebrated their day on Tuesday the 16th.
The community can use the facilities, process their credentials, and benefit from their services Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 to 18:00.
Although this library will have integrated services for passport processing, the City of Chula Vista reported that they are not yet available, so it is recommended that they be provided at the Civic Center locations at 365 F Street and the South Branch at 389 Orange Avenue.
Otay Ranch Town Center is also not accepting book donations at this time. However, the rest of the services, including reservations for the Hub, are available. To learn more about services and programming, visit chulavistaca.gov/departments/library.
