CHULA VISTA — Students at Vista Square Elementary and Enrique S. Camarena Elementary received new books this week as part of Chula Vista Elementary School District’s Kindness Week, according to district officials.

The deliveries were carried out by The Kindness Club, a student-led group that promotes positive actions across the district. CVESD reported that the books were donated by Las Primeras, a local philanthropic organization.
District staff said the activity encouraged students to reflect on the “ripple effect” of kindness and to consider how a single thoughtful action can grow into many more. Both classrooms also received additional books to share with other students, reinforcing the message of collective generosity, CVESD stated.
The district thanked The Kindness Club and Las Primeras for helping “kindness spread across our schools” during the weeklong initiative.
