The U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced it will host its Virtual Spring Career Expo on March 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time), aiming to actively recruit candidates for mission-critical positions tied to border security and public safety.
According to the agency, the online event will give participants an opportunity to explore careers within CBP and connect directly with current employees and recruiters, who will share insights into their roles, responsibilities and professional experiences.
Throughout the event, attendees will be able to ask questions in real time through live chat features at virtual booths dedicated to specific positions, providing detailed information about job openings, qualifications and the hiring process.
CBP said it is seeking to fill thousands of positions across multiple levels, including air interdiction agent, Border Patrol agent, criminal investigator, Customs and Border Protection officer, and maritime interdiction agent.
Officials noted that interested applicants must register online and complete their enrollment by March 27 in order to participate. While the virtual lobby will open early, access to the event will be limited to fully registered participants.
The agency also emphasized that all positions are subject to federal hiring regulations and require U.S. citizenship. Additional information about specific roles and requirements is available on the official CBP careers website.
As part of its recruitment efforts, CBP highlighted that it offers specialized training, competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits, along with opportunities for ongoing professional development. In certain locations, newly hired officers and agents may be eligible for incentives of up to $60,000.
The agency encouraged prospective applicants to review its recruitment events calendar, connect with recruiters online and follow its official social media platforms to stay informed about future hiring opportunities.
