October is Filipino American History Month and Chula Vista is celebrating it with a weekend full of tradition, culture and film. This year the San Diego Filipino Film Festival (SDFFF) will be hosted at the AMC 12 Otay Ranch Town Center. The festival begins on Sunday, October 17, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm and will continue with showings on Tuesday, October 19, from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
Films include a variety of documentaries, shorts and narrative features. The SDFFF is also offering online rentals in an effort to reach as much of the audience as possible.
This will be the SDFC’s inaugural film festival with its focus to raise awareness of the Filipino heritage in San Diego and the the Filipino cinema.
