The first-ever Rumbazo festival has officially unveiled their 2022 performing line up.

Latin music star Maluma has been announced as the first-ever headline of this gigantic festival, with previous sets from other Latin stars like Prince Royce, Natanael Cano, Ivy Queen, and Omar Apollo. Becky G will also be hosting an invite-only welcoming show on September 10 as part of this festival.

Vic Juarez, Rumbazo Festival Organizer, said in a press statement that they chose Downtown Las Vegas as the ideal location for this event, and that there will be more integrated into this festival in the future.

“While this may be called a festival by industry standards, there will be so much more integrated into Rumbazo,” noted Vic Juarez. “We chose downtown Las Vegas as it is the heart of the city and the ideal location for a celebration. We invite the entire Las Vegas community to join us for this massive party – el reventón del año.”

Josh Kurfirst, WME partner and global head of festivals, previously told Billboard that the impact being made by Latin music is getting larger and larger with time, and is also gaining territory in the market side of the general music industry.

“The Latin music scene, which was once more niche, is clearly becoming more mainstream, and the market is reacting and rightfully so,” Josh Kurfirst said in the past. “We have seen a steady increase of Latin bookings at the major crossover contemporary festivals and Latin-focused festivals, which I believe is contributing to the blending of Latin music with the pop mainstream.”

This two-day celebration is being presented by Anheuser-Busch to launch Hispanic Heritage on the weekend of September 10th and 11th at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. Up to 15,000 people are expected to attend this massive music festival.
