The San Diego County Registrar of Voters has mailed out over 1.9 million postcards to registered voters ahead of the Nov. 8 Statewide general election.
Ballots will be sent out in the mail listing voting options on Oct.8, a month ahead of election day. Each registered voter can return the ballot by mail, to one of the Registrar’s secure ballot drop box locations or at any one of over 200 vote centers located throughout the county.
County officials say that elections are no longer a one-day event, and there is no need to wait until Election Day to vote. Vote centers will open to the public on Nov.5, four days before election day.
According to the Register's Office, 132 ballot drop box locations are to open beginning Oct. 10.
A full list of the ballot box and vote center locations will be available at sdvote.com by Sept.9.
