The University of San Diego has been named the most beautiful campus in the country, according to the widely-respected educational company, The Princeton Review.
This list was revealed recently, which comes as wonderful news to one of the biggest pride and joys of San Diego, USD.
The campus is a private Roman Catholic research university near the Mission Valley area and has existed since 1949. The school quickly emerged as one of the most respected in the country due to its level of academics and the beautiful San Diego location.
The Princeton Review, an education service company, listed USD at the peak of their Top 25 Most Beautiful Campuses in the country rankings. They publish this annual list before entering every new academic year. The list is highly-respected that it has often been featured on many "best colleges" rankings yearly.
This is no surprise to many who have been or seen the campus of USD. The private university typically ranks high in these types of "beautiful colleges" listings on a regular basis. USD received this honor five years ago when it was given the highest ranking in this category in 2017, also by The Princeton Review.
Last year, The Princeton Review gave USD sixth place on this beautiful campus ranking and also ranked for having the eighth Best Quality of Life, 14th as the Most Popular Study Abroad Program, and 18th in Green Colleges.
This Princeton Review list is based on a survey of over 160,000 college students around the country, which includes services like financial aid, career services, and quality of life.
"We ask students about: 1) their school's academics/administration, 2) life at their college, 3) their fellow students, and 4) themselves," the Princeton Review says on their website.
Other notable university ranked in the "most beautiful colleges" list contain the following:
Vanderbilt University, Rice University, Berry College, University of Denver and the University of Virginia.
