CHULA VISTA.- Soccer fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a free day of sports on June 18 in downtown Chula Vista, where the “SDFC Soccer Celebration” will take place. The event is being promoted by the City of Chula Vista in collaboration with San Diego FC.

The celebration will be held at Memorial Park, in the heart of downtown Chula Vista, and will bring together residents and visitors to watch three international matches on giant screens, along with a variety of recreational activities and food offerings.

According to information released by the City of Chula Vista, the event will feature food vendors, a beer garden, and a special surprise performance that will be announced during the celebration.

The soccer schedule will begin at noon with the match between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Later, at 3 p.m., fans will be able to watch Canada take on Qatar. The day will conclude with the match between Mexico and South Korea, scheduled for 6 p.m.

The invitation was shared by the City of Chula Vista through its social media channels, where officials highlighted that the event will be free and open to the public.
