Meals will be available through June 30, Monday through Friday.

CHULA VISTA — With the start of the summer break, the Chula Vista Elementary School District has announced its participation in the Summer Seamless Option, a federally funded program through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that provides free lunches and snacks to children and teens under 18 years of age.

Meals will be available through June 30, Monday through Friday.

Lunch will be served from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and snacks will be offered from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Meals will be distributed at the following locations:

  • Civic Center Library, 365 F Street
  • South Chula Vista Library, 389 Orange Avenue

The program does not require registration or proof of income and is open to all minors in the community.

The goal is to ensure students continue receiving nutritious meals even when school is not in session.

“The district remains committed to supporting student health and well-being year-round,” the administration stated in a release, encouraging local families to take part.
