CHULA VISTA—Fire Engineer Nicholas Parra of the Chula Vista Fire Department (CVFD) was recognized at the Chula Vista Elks Lodge Public Safety Recognition Dinner for his outstanding career, strong background, and unwavering commitment to the community.

Parra specializes in emergency response and fire safety education. Since joining the CVFD in 2021, he has worked tirelessly to improve the preparedness and protection of Chula Vista residents.

His efforts go beyond emergency response. He has led community outreach initiatives and supported families in need through the Chula Vista Firefighters Foundation.

Mayor John McCann highlighted the significance of this recognition, stressing that public safety is a fundamental pillar of the community. He noted that Parra’s work exemplifies the dedication of first responders to protecting and well-being residents.
