The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce Greater San Diego honored the leadership of several members who have excelled in their professional life.
On Saturday, March 23, the FACCGSD hosted this year’s gala at the Town and Country resort in the Mission Valley area where a sold out event celebrated the impact these members have on their communities.
“Recipients are celebrated for their positive impact on others and the world around them,” the organization says about this gala. “Different qualities to highlight in your award recognition include communication, enthusiasm, and problem-solving. When positioned to focus on leadership, an ambassador recognition program can inspire chamber members to seek promotions or to take on new projects.”
One of the award recipients of the nights was Jean Pioso, a medical social worker and a fashion designer who launched a brand with a significant message.
“I work alot and I design a lot,” she told Chula Vista Today, “so my passion for both of those things led me to create a brand called Jean Amour, which means Love in French. The butterfly is the symbol of my brand because butterflies are the representation of humans, and in order to be successful you have to work hard and discipline ourselves so we can soar and fly higher.”
The mission of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce Greater San Diego is to serve as the primary support system for members to improve the economic well-being of the community. This involves promoting growth, encouraging trade, collaborating with other organizations; partner with and empower other entities through educational initiatives, mentoring programs, and access to various services and resources.
