CHULA VISTA, CA.- On Thursday, a large number of traffic lights were not working in several areas of the city from Chula Vista for reasons still being investigated by the local company San Diego Gas & Electric (SDGE).

According to the outage page of the company that offers electric service to the San Diego communities, the first Blackout occurred at approximately 6:27 a.m.

It is worth mentioning that at that time, this reporter heard an apparent explosion accompanied by a light near E and F streets on Broadway Street,

Also, according to San Diego Gas & Electric, without confirming the cause of the blackout, it occurred west of E Street and affected some 4,556 homes that were left without electric service for several hours.

However, the impact on homes and businesses did not stop there, since according to the source of information itself, around 12.03 p.m., some 3,366 were left without electricity supply families, and in the same way, it was published that “it is being evaluated to determine the cause of the blackout.”

It is worth mentioning, however, that the company itself confirmed that by afternoon, the service had been entirely restored.
