Adidas's international sports brand ends its partnership with the San Diego Padres superstar due to his recent troubles.

Just recently, ESPN confirmed that the sports brand is parting ways with the baseball superstar after Tatis Jr. was suspended earlier this month for PED use.

Adidas stated that their company has a clear policy regarding this particular issue of performance enhancing drug use.

“We believe that sport should be fair,” Adidas said in a statement, via ESPN’s Alden González. “We have a clear policy on doping and can confirm that our partnership with Fernando Tatis Jr. will not continue.”

The 23-year-old Dominican star recently came out and expressed his self-disappointment regarding his 80-game suspension by Major League Baseball.

“There is no one else to blame but myself. I made a mistake,” Tatis said. “I’m truly sorry. I have let so many people down. I have lost so much love from people. I have failed. I’m going to remember what this feels like, and I’m not going to put myself in this position ever again. I know I have a lot of love that I have to recover. I have a lot of work to do, it will be a very long process. I’m learning, I’m maturing.”

San Diego Padres general manager A.J. Preller says that the organization will be keeping an eye on Fernando to display improvement through actions more than anything.

"When he’s on the field, he’s a difference maker. You have to learn from the situations. We were hoping that from the offseason to now that there would be some maturity, and obviously with the news today, it’s more of a pattern, and it’s something that we’ve got to dig a bit more into. … I’m sure he’s very disappointed. But, at the end of the day, it’s one thing to say it. You’ve got to start showing by your actions."
