More than 1.9 million ballots are on their way to San Diego County Voters for the Nov. 8 Statewide General Election, the San Diego County Registrar of Voters announced.

Registered voters in San Diego County can expect to see a ballot in their mailboxes the week of Oct. 10, but some may receive theirs as early as Saturday, Oct. 8. The Registrar of Voters noted that an “I Voted” sticker can be found inside the official ballot packets.

Those who would like to vote early may visit the Registrar of Voters office in Kearny Mesa on Oct. 10 from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m Monday through Friday. The registrar said it encourages voters to take advantage of the convenience of voting by mail or to drop off ballots at official drop box locations county-wide through election day.

“Remember to sign and date your return ballot envelope. Your signature is required for your vote to count,” the registrar of voters urged.

County officials ask registered voters to check the ballot drop-off location’s hours of operation at sdvote.com before heading out.

The number of voting centers will continue to increase by the end of the month, with 39 vote centers slated to be open daily starting Oct. 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 200 vote centers will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m starting Nov. 5.

All vote center locations will be Election Day, Nov. 8, when voting hours change to 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters can find an official ballot drop box or vote center location inside their voter information pamphlet, or you can look it up online at sdvote.com.

Those who return their ballots through the U.S. Postal Service can track their ballots by signing up for “Where’s My Ballot?”
