Undefeated fighters Brandon Figueroa and Stephen Fulton are hours away from clashing for the unification bout.

Tonight in Las Vegas, current holder of the WBC title Brandon Figueroa, is facing off against holder of the WBO title Stephen Fulton, who experts believe is at the very prime of his career.

The two titleholders were expected to fight back in September, but Figueroa tested positive for COVID just before the original date, which forced the fight to be postponed.

Fulton had experienced the same situation prior to his fight against Angelo Leo in January of this year, when he himself tested positive for COVID just before their original fight date.

24-year-old Figueroa is the younger fighter coming into tonight’s main event, coming off his most impressive career victory in May, when he defeated Luis Nery by knockout.

Figueroa also says that this fight might be his last rodeo in the 122 pound division, as he sees the 126 pound limit as the next potential move in his young career.

The young fighter believes that Stephen Fulton underestimates his boxing ability, expressing that he feels like Fulton views him as just any other boxer he’s fought against in the past.

Figueroa says that tonight Fulton’s underestimation will be tested, saying that everyone will see who’s the better man in the ring.

On the other hand, Fulton is not being underestimated by Figueroa one bit, as the 24-year-old has shown major respect for Fulton’s fighting style coming into tonight.

Figueroa says that Fulton’s “will to win” is what makes him such a tough challenge in a ring, stating that a fighter with that type of willpower refuses to go down easy.

The main event fight is expected to go underway at 7pm Pacific Standard Time, broadcasted from Park Theatre in Las Vegas, live on Showtime PPV.
