A ticket sold at a Fresno store was one number short of winning the $1.337 billion Mega Millions jackpot from the drawing on Friday night.

A lucky ticket sold on 8949 N Cedar Avenue in Fresno matched five out-of-the-six numbers and is worth over $4.2 million. A total of 26 tickets nationwide were sold matching five numbers.

One ticket sold in Des Plaines, Ill, matched all six numbers, securing the $1.337 billion jackpot, the third largest of any lottery game in U.S. History. The jackpot was originally estimated at $1.28 billion, but an Illinois lottery official said late ticket sales pushed it to $1.337 billion.

According to lottery officials, the ticket will yield a one-time payment of about $780 million if the holder decides to cash in. Otherwise, the jackpot will be given over an initial payment and 29 annual payments.

The winning numbers for Friday’s Mega Millions drawing were 13-36-45-57-67 with a Mega Ball of 14. According to the state’s lottery officials, the odds of winning the jackpot is 1 in 302 million.

The jackpot run began in mid-April and has generated an estimated $99 million for public education, benefiting grades K-12, community colleges, public universities, and other educational entities.

The Mega Millions of drawings are every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 p.m. and can be found on the calottery website. Mega Millions tickets can be bought at two dollars each.
