The feud between Team Canelo and Ryan Garcia continue to grow as both sides come out and speak on one another.

It wasn't that long ago that Canelo and Garcia, both San Diego-based boxers, had a close friendship between the current face of boxing and the future of the sport.

Garcia had joined Team Canelo in October of 2018 to train with Alvarez' life-long coach, Eddy Reynoso, and evolve into a more mature fighter under the leadership of Reynoso with five wins by his side before his departure.

Just recently in an interview with DAZN, Saul Canelo Alvarez unleashed on Garcia essentially calling him immature at this very point of his young career, especially when it comes down to talking about his time with Team Canelo.

Canelo says that Garcia should stop talking so much and just focus on doing his job and focus on his future accomplishments.

"He's just mad for something – he's no longer in the team. He's always going to be versus us no matter what. But he's a little kid. You need to understand him. He needs to learn a lot of things. My advice for him is to do your job, focus on your career, win a world championship first, then talk about other people because you've accomplished nothing and you start talking about fighters who've accomplished a lot. When I was 20-year-old I was a world champion,” Alvarez said in an interview on DAZN.

Alvarez, who will be fighting GGG in a few months in Las Vegas, says that Garcia shouldn't forget about the things that Eddy Reynoso did for his development as a boxing fighter.

“You can call out everybody and say and talk and everything but at the end of the day, you are doing nothing. It is what is. We need to understand him now that he's no longer with the Canelo team. He's going to talk about us. It's fine. But he needs to remember how much Eddy did for him. A lot of things. He and his father still owe money to Eddy and Eddy doesn't say anything because he doesn't need it. It's not fair that he's talking about everything in the camp. He came to my gym and we showed him love and support. He then goes and says anything. He's not grateful. When a person is ungrateful, it's the worst thing,” said Alvarez.

And when asked if Garcia could eventually beat Gervonta "Tank" Davis, Canelo wasted no time in saying he sees Davis as the favorite between both fighters. However, Canelo still acknowledges the potential in Ryan Garcia, saying that he can accomplish great things if he puts his whole mind into the sport.

“I don't really think so [that Garcia can beat Davis]. Not yet,” said Alvarez. “If he puts his mind to boxing and tries to learn everything, he can do a lot of things. He has a lot of talent.”
