New week, new things happening in Chula Vista in the incoming days!

1. Institutional Technology Ribbon Cutting

Join your local community college next Tuesday, September 20, as they open the school's newest building, the Institutional Technology Building. The introduction of the building will take place at 4:30 when they will cut the ribbon on the campus' newest building yet.
"The Southwestern Community College Institutional Technology building is designed to support student life on campus, both functionally and visually. The IT building serves the students by providing critical campus services and the workspaces necessary to implement said services. The 16,000 square foot building includes data storage and networking spaces," says Miyamoto on their website, an international structure engineering organization.
2. Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Tour at Walmart

Swing by the Walmart in the Eastlake area with your kids to enjoy this Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Tour. The event is for people of all ages to experience a thrilling and exciting time seeing real Monster Truck face-to-face. Special Monster Trucks will be on site such as: Mega Wrex™, Tiger Shark™ or Bigfoot®.
3. Bellakeo Saturday at Search Bar

Search Bar is the place to be in the Chula Vista nightlife setting. Located in the Eastlake area is Search Bar, a relatively new bar and restaurant that opened just two years ago during COVID. They typically have a different theme for different days, and this Saturday is no exception. Search Bar's Bellakeo Saturday will take place this Saturday for Ladies Night. Bring your friends or adult family members and dance with live DJs playing in the back.
4. Art Aboard: Sea what you can See

This is another fun event taking place in the Southbay this weekend in Chula Vista's Marina Bay. Come enjoy a sunset cruise on the tall ship Bill of Rights. Feel free to bring your digital camera, or simply your cell phone camera to capture the beautiful local scenery. And after the cruise, those on board are welcomed to submit their pictures to their "Art Abroad" contest.

5. Chuze Fitness Charity Donation Team Training Session Chula Vista

Members and non-members of Chuze Fitness are invited to swing by to take this gym class with a donation that will benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, a non-profit that commits to finding cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
"It's essentially personal training in a team environment complete with incline trainers, water rowers, and all kinds of strength equipment like the Terra Core, TRX, and dumbbells. The energy is high, the music keeps you going, and it's so motivating to work out with a group," the description reads.
