The Media Arts Center San Diego, the House of Ukraine of Balboa Park, and local artists partner to raise awareness and funds to support humanitarian efforts for Ukraine. 

For one week, the Media Arts Center San Diego will be showing “Olga”, an award-winning drama that follows talented gymnasts as she leaves Ukrain for Switzerland after her journalist mother was targeted by the Yaunkovitch regime on the eve of the Maidan Revolution. The film will show on July 22 at 7 p.m. on the 2nd floor of 1100 Market Street, San Diego, CA, 92102. 

Opening night will commence on July 22 at 5 p.m. with an art exhibit and vendors. All proceeds will go to the House of Ukraine’s humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. Kino Lober, the film’s distributor, will donate 10 percent of the ticket revenue to direct relief for their work in Ukraine. 

Several local artists will showcase their work on Sunday, July 24 at 7 p.m. before the film’s showing at 8:30 p.m. 

Tickets are $12 for the general public, $10 for Students & Seniors, and $9 for members.
