Oscar De La Hoya receives a lifetime achievement award this weekend from the Harold & Carol Pump Foundation.

The Golden Boy Chairman and CEO was recognized and honored with this achievement on Saturday in Los Angeles, at the 2022 Harold & Caroline Pump Foundation Gala alongside multiple highly-popular honorees such as NFL legend Ray Lewis, former San Diego Padre player Ozzie Smith, as well as other figures like Ken Goldin and Steve Madison.

Harol & Carol Pump Foundation's mission is to raise funds and raise awareness on any cancer-related treatment. With the community engaging with key sports figures such as Oscar and Ray Lewis, and many others, the money raised in this foundation is used to make advancements on treatments regarding the deadly illness, including launching programs and helpful services through advanced medical technology.

The Golden Boy CEO and Chairman says that this is a meaningful award that displays his ability to get through the highs but also the lowest points of his life.

“My lifetime of achievement as it reads on the award, I am lucky enough to receive tonight is not just one of celebrating the highs, but of pushing through the lows and coming out the other side a better person for it,” said Oscar De La Hoya.

Oscar expanded on his hope for society to come together and overcome the brutal illness that is cancer.

The 49-year-old boxing legend calls this lifetime achievement award as a humbling honor.

“With that, I thank Dana and David for this honor. I feel truly humbled. But I am more humbled by the incredible work that both of you do. Whether it is your work at Northridge Medical Center or my foundation’s work at White Memorial, together, I truly believe that together we can win this battle against cancer,” De La Hoya concluded.
