Mmm… Cakes will host a one-night-only Evil Dead Rise experience at its bakery in Downtown Chula Vista in partnership with Warner Brothers to promote the opening of the “Evil Dead Rise” that will appear on the big screen on April 21.

The Evil Dead Rise experience at Mmm…Cakes will take place on Saturday, April 15, from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m., or while supplies last at 310 Third Ave, to celebrate the halfway point to Halloween. The bakery said the event will feature Evil Dead Rise-themed giveaways, terrifying and one-of-a-kind pastries, and drinks, created by Co-Owner and Executive Chef, Jose Barajas. The bakery encourages attendees to dress in their favorite deadite attire or other horror film icon.

“Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and I’m so excited to be able to celebrate the halfway point this year, with such an exciting event,” Barajas said. “If you know me, you know we put our heart and soul into every hosted event we do and participate in, so we can’t wait for everyone to come and see our take on an Evil Dead Rise pop-up.”

New Line Cinema and Renaissance Pictures present a return to the iconic horror franchise, “Evil Dead Rise,” from writer/director Lee Cronin. “Evil Dead Rise,” tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sutherland and Sullivan, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

Mmm…Cakes is located at 310 Third Ave. Suite C4, Chula Vista, CA 91910. For more info, visit the website here and follow them on Instagram and Facebook.
