Partnerships 4 Success will host a free community resource fair on Aug. 20 to bring health and wellness information and services to south bay communities. 

South Bay Summer Festival will begin at 10 a.m. and through 2 p.m. at Mar Vista Academy at 1267 Thermal Ave. San Diego, CA 92154. The family-friendly festival includes resources for South Bay residents, including free COVID-19 vaccines and HIV testing. 

Free breakfast is provided by Project 1:1 and free lunch by Xita I’ini Sabor Mixteca. 

Several resources and activities at the event include: 

  • Mental Health Workshop by Jewish Family Services
  •  Native Plants and Gardening Workshop by Dan Watman
  • Youth Art Workshop by Kat Schroeder Mora
  • Financial Literacy Workshop by Mission Fed
  • Cultural Arts Workshop by The Front
  • Performance by Filipino Bay Terrace Senior Association
  • Performance by Ballet Folklorico
  • 20+ community resource booths
  • San Ysidro Health will have a mobile clinic on-site providing COVID-19 vaccines, booster
  • shots, Hepatitis C testing and HIV testing
