1. First Saturdays Summer Skate Jam

Do you skate? Or you know anyone that enjoys a good skateboarding session? Well, this event is the perfect event for you or someone else that you may know. Say goodbye to the summer season with this fun night of skateboarding, live music, food, and just an overall great environment for local families in the Chula Vista area. DJ Oli-Tay will be present setting the vibe with some good skate music. Gourdito Wings will be the featured food vendor at this event, where they will be offering macaroni and cheese stuffed chicken wings. Tell a family member!
2. Police In House Recruiting Informational Event
Sat, Sep 3, 9:00 AM – Chula Vista Police Department
Chula Vista Police Department is hosting this recruiting event where they will provide all information regarding its local police force and what is has to offer. The CVPD says they offer numerous career opportunities through their police department, whether it's career starters or a change of profession.
"There are significant opportunities for career advancement through the CVPD. We’re seeking motivated individuals who are beginning their careers, as well as those interested in a career change. Prior law enforcement experience is welcome but not required," according to the CVPD.
3. Free Labor Day Family Fun At The Park!
Sat, Sep 3, 3:00 PM – Cottonwood Park
This glow-in-the-dark event later this afternoon is a great opportunity for you and your family to spend quality time together at Chula Vista's Cottonwood Park. The day picnic of this event is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the night party kicks-off at 7 p.m. through 10 p.m.
