Authorities are investigating a fire set off to an SUV in Otay Mesa early Friday morning.
A watch commander with the San Diego Police Department said officers received reports of blasts in the 3700 block of Clacelita Street at around 6 a.m.
Witnesses told police that something was thrown from a white Honda shortly before the call. The suspects sped away.
Video footage from OnScene TV showed the flames severely chared the interior of the vehicle. OnScene TV reported that firefighters set out the blaze.
The San Diego Fire & Rescue Metro Arson Strike Team was investigating the incident.
