The City of Chula Vista has a full-time, well-paying Auto Mechanic position available that improves if the candidate is certified as a Fire Mechanic but it is not the only available job listing.
The city is also looking for a gardener for part-time work with a salary of between $18 and $22 an hour.

Accounting Technician for Financial Accounting needed in preparing, reviewing, and processing citywide payroll records or major accounting projects; interpret, apply, and explain relevant policies, regulations, and standards; and to maintain related records.
Chula Vista is also looking for an engineer who "can be assigned specific projects or programs."
The job description says that "positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are typically filled through advancement from the assistant engineer level, or when filled from outside, have prior experience."
The city also now requires three building inspectors, two of them full-time and the third to work only on an hourly basis.
