Jaime Mungia returns home and takes care of business in front of a Tijuana home crowd.

On Saturday night in Tijuana's Plaza Monumental, both DAZN and Golden Boy Promotions presented a very exciting night for boxing fans around the world, as Jamie Mungia put an end to The "Big Meech's" unbeaten record in the main event of the evening.

Coming into tonight, the previous WBO Light Middleweight champ and the current WBO Inter-Continental Middleweight champion Jamie Mungia gave boxing fans a short but interesting main event, with boxing experts, including DAZN news, having the fight split even before stoppage time occurred.

This fight was the first time Mungia had done to distance since his transition of moving up to boxing's middleweight, just after defeating the very-durable Gabriel Rosado in a boxing fight over 12 rounds in November of last year.

Mungia, 25, says that Saturday night was a dream come true for him and everyone who has seen him grow up to be the boxer he is today.

"It is a great honor, I always had a dream of making this happen, and I now see that dreams do come true," The Tijuana native said after his victory. "I remember being a little boy sitting at the very top up in the area seeing Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and I always said that I will accomplish something like that, but I never thought I would fulfill that dream than in my hometown of Tijuana." Mungia added.

Now that Mungia ended the night victorious in his hometown of Tijuana, the question now arising is "who's next for Mungia?"

According to boxing experts, the Tijuana-native now ranks at the top spot within the WBO and WBC division, putting him in a good position where he could face-off against Demetrius Andrade for the WBO title, or Jermall Charlo for that WBC championship title.

"We’re ready for those title shots?," Munguia publicly asked during his post-fight interview.
