For the first time since the pandemic began, the San Diego County Fair is expected to return from June 8 to July 4 under the theme “Heroes ReUnite”, the board of directors announced.

The theme was originally slated for 2020, and ticket sales will begin on April 2,  slated to include a lineup of attractions and events.

Some of the highlights include Toast of the Coast Wine Festival on June 11, the San Diego International Beer Festival on June 16-17, the Asian Festival on June 18, and the Gospel Festival on June 25.

According to the vice president of the fair board, this year’s theme “will also be a tribute to the real-life superheroes who walk among us every day.”

The fair will be open every day except Mondays and Tuesdays where fair-goers can expect to see competitions in woodworking, spirits, cocktails, and floral designs.

Fair board members said they are looking forward to continuing the return to normal operations and events but are still looking for sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, and performers for the month-long fair.
