The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department arrested three teenagers who allegedly assaulted a 32-year-old man who suffered severe stab wounds at a strip mall near Sweetwater Reservoir.
Edgar Rolando Gallo, 18, Cutie Marie Real, 19, and a 16-year-old girl allegedly attacked the man shortly before 10 p.m Monday during an argument outside a fast-food restaurant in the 8700 block of Jamacha Boulevard in Spring Valley, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies with the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station responded to the scene after receiving a call about a stabbing. Upon arrival, authorities found the 32-year-old man bleeding on the ground.
The man was hospitalized with serious injuries to his head and chest. According to witnesses, there was a verbal argument and then three people started attacking the victim, punching, kicking, and stabbing him.
The suspects fled the scene and drove towards State Route 125, according to Sgt. Michael Hettinger. Deputies searched the area and detained two people whom witnesses identified as the suspects in the attack.
Authorities booked Real, and the 16-year-old girl into Juvenile Hall. Edgar Rolando Gallo was later arrested and booked into San Diego Central Jail.
Gallo, Real, and the teenager are all facing felony charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy.
