The San Diego Sheriff’s Department is hosting an open house Saturday at Southwestern College to teach community members about the variety of positions the department offers.
The entire community can participate in the free event from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. at Southwestern College's DeVore Stadium. The event features giveaways, face painting, DJ music, and a visit from the San Diego Padres Pad Squad.
Community members can also RSVP to participate in a voluntary workout session that begins at 10 a.m.
According to event organizers, the job fair will feature representatives from Law Enforcement, Emergency Service Dispatchers, Medical Services, and Professional Staff to answer and assist with applying on site.
Specialized units and vehicles for the community to explore, according to event organizers.
