The Chula Vista Police Department seeks information about stolen archery equipment taken from Kentucky Union College students in May, which cost them an estimated $58,000 after staying in a hotel near Bonita Road.
According to authorities in a statement posted on July 8, the students were in town for an archery event on May 21 and stayed at a hotel near 805 on Bonita Road. The students locked their van with all of their archery equipment overnight and woke up to find everything stolen.
“With limited means to replace their equipment, they were devastated. After putting much effort into the case, investigators have not been able to ID any suspects. We’re seeking your help now to gather any info about this burglary,” the Chula Vista Police Department wrote in a social media post.

There were more than 167 stolen items classified as Olympic athlete archery, some items containing logos of Kentucky Union College.
Anyone with information on this case is instructed to contact Det. Martinez at smartinez@chulavistapd.org or submit a tip anonymously via SD Crime Stoppers or the P3 Tips app.
