Through a press release, WishWell reached out to us to let you know that they are going to host a grand opening event for their new WishWell Counseling and Empowerment Center at 2060 Otay Lakes Road, Suite 240, in Chula Vista on Saturday, September 9, from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

At the upcoming event, visitors can enjoy tours of the center and have the opportunity to meet with counselors and therapists. In addition, there will be special grand opening deals available. The celebration will also include fun activities for the whole family, such as the Drop a Wish booth, where teens and parents can write down their wishes on a 2×2 ceramic tile, the Roar Room, where they can let out their frustrations, a game of Subsoccer and a chance to participate in a special raffle. Local vendors like The Goat Local’s Chef and Your Layered Cake will also be present to offer their products throughout the event.

WishWell takes a holistic approach to children’s well-being by offering traditional, alternative, dynamic experiences through empowerment coaching. On their website, what they claim as a ‘dynamic approach’ is to provide spaces for “young minds to explore their thoughts and emotions and find support through their mental health and social-emotional journeys.”

They provide different types of therapy and coaching services, including parent coaching that aims to improve parenting skills through expert guidance workshops. Empowerment coaching helps individuals discover themselves by building confidence and embracing their strengths. Additionally, they offer personalized therapy options that cater to individuals’ specific needs for healing.

“Empowering young minds is not just a passion; it’s a calling. After years of working closely with children as an educator and school counselor, I recognized a gap – a lack of support for young kids facing everyday challenges,” said Verenice Hernandez-Herrera, founder of WishWell, Counseling & Empowerment Center.
