New month, new event opportunities for locals to join this month in Chula Vista.
The city’s Otay Ranch Branch Library will hold several events this November for all locals in the South Bay. Here is a list of events happening in Chula Vista starting next week
Cafecito & Crafts con Ruth: Thursday, November 9, 2023.
Join locals at Cafecito & Crafts con Ruth next Thursday, November 9th, at 10 a.m. This event is an opportunity to display and enhance your creativity. Cafecito & Crafts con Ruth allows adults to practice their crafty skill set and create a pumpkin placeholder for their household’s holiday theme tables. Locals in attendance will be offered supplies and coffee.
Anime/Manga Club: Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
Anime fans ages 12 and up in Chula Vista are invited to join the Anime/Manga Club on November 15 at 4:30 p.m. at the Otay Ranch Branch Library. At this event, anime fans will learn how to become a Pokemon maestro, among other things. If you are a fan of this Japanese hand-drawn and computer-generated animation, this is the place to be. This is an opportunity for anime fans wanting to meet fellow teens who love the same activities.
Due Date Book Club: Thursday, November 16, 2023.
For local book lovers, this one will be something that cannot be missed. Local teens are invited to join the Due Date Book Club on November 16 at 4:30 p.m. for a book discussion and/or secure community service hours. Teens can earn up to five hours of community service by reading and discussing a book at the Due Date Book Club.
Grateful Gatherings: Monday-Wednesday, November 20-22.
Towards the end of the month, Grateful Gatherings will be held for local children over three days from Monday to Wednesday, November 20 to 22, starting at noon. At this local gathering in Otay Ranch, all children can enjoy a S.T.E.A.M. activity for up to an hour.
STEAM-related activities, tied to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, allow kids to develop a far greater approach to these four problem-solving academic subjects.
