It's no accident that San Diego County has gained the recognition of being "America's Finest City".
Many statistics have been confirmed to further proves the city's significance on a national or even international stage, such as the increase in rent, summer tourism population, and others.
Well, here's another number that was presented this week.
According to the 2022 U.S. News & World Report rankings, three San Diego hotels are within the top 25 best locations to stay in the U.S., and among the top 5 in the Golden State.
This list is based on the hotel industry's accolades, hotel expert reviews, hotel class ratings and guest satisfaction as well.
At #4 nationally is The Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, and ranked #1 in all of California. This hotel is found in an inland part of the county, which is why according to the report, many guests appreciate this "staycation" more than other hotels.
However, this type of recognition is nothing new to the Rancho Valencia Resort, as it's been previously ranked within the top 5 in the nation every year since 2019, according to the same ranking source.
This hotel comes with an hacienda-style type architecture, with a laid back feel and incredible views wherever you walk. The hotel's luxurious status increased after it underwent a renovation back in 2011, which was reportedly worth up to #30 million dollars overall after redesigning each of their 49 "casitas", and the addition of two new glamorous restaurants along with a bar.
The other two hotels on the list ranked on this list are The Fairmont Grand Del Mar listed at #21 nationally, and ranked #4 in all of California. The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad was also ranked #23 in the nation, while also coming in at #5 in the state.
