A local tarot card reading business burst into flames Saturday morning, causing smoke damage to the adjacent structure.
The Chula Vista Fire Department responded to calls at around 9:23 a.m. of a single structure fire at the Botanica Tarot Card Reading Business located at 545 H Street, according to OnScene T.V. The fire heavily damaged the business and caused smoke damage to the adjoining Criminal, Divorce and Immigration Law Attorney’s office,
According to Chula Vista Fire Batallion Chief, Brendan Barahura, the fire was extinguished within 15 minutes, and the cause of the fire remains unknown. Barahuna notes that a shelving unit within the structure could have been the origin of the fire.
It is unknown whether the business was open for operation at the time of the fire.
“When we arrived the doors were open but unsure if it was open for buisness,” Barahuna told OnScene T.V.
No injuries were reported from this incident.
