San Diego locals can now utilize an additional 179 voting centers for early voting as soon as today, Saturday, June 4th.
This news was announced this week by the County of San Diego Communications Office, which now updates the numbers of voting centers to a total of 218 locations for the four days prior to Election Day.
A total of 39 voting facilities were initially open as of last Saturday, May 28. All San Diego voters are encouraged to cast their voting ballot at any moment in any of the available facilities.
All voting locations will be open again through Monday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
And then, all locations will once again be open on the actual Election Day, June 7, with different hours of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
All locals are free to find their nearest voting location at sdvote.com.
Vote centers are replace polling places and will provide other additional services such as:
- Vote in person or drop off a mail-in ballot
- Vote using an accessible ballot marking device
- Receive assistance and voting materials in multiple languages
- Register to vote or update your voter registration and vote on the same day
Voters heading to vote at any of these locations should look into avoiding traffic due to the on-going San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon held on June 4 and 5.
The marathon's running route will be affecting the several streets in the area of the following voting centers:
- San Diego City College (P Building, Flex Room)
- 1480 Park Blvd., San Diego, 92101
- San Diego LGBT Community Center
- 3909 Centre St., San Diego, 92103
- Spreckels Masonic Temple (Dining Hall)
- 3858 Front St., San Diego, 92103
- Patrick’s Catholic Parish (Rear Hall)
- 3585 30th St., San Diego, 92104
