ALBION took the lead in the dying seconds of the first half as forward Lennyn Carreón found his teammate Tyler Gabarra, who unleashed a right-footed strike from outside the box, beating goalkeeper Josué Mazón.
ALBION increased their lead when Carreón, a first-half substitute, forced a mistake on the Club de Lyon side of the field and scored with a shot to the lower right corner of the goal in the 49th minute.
In a pivotal moment during the 61st minute, forward Kevin Hernández seized the opportunity presented by a loose ball. Despite the efforts of goalkeeper Ben Roach, the ball found its target, turning the tide in favor of the visitors and validating their strategic substitutions.
Club de Lyon pressed forward in pursuit of an equalizer, but Roach displayed his ability moments later by venturing off his line to deny an opportunity with a timely block.
ALBION San Diego sealed the match in the 74th minute when Gabarra found the head of his teammate Anthony Patti from a free-kick. The defender cleverly placed the ball into the back of the net from close range.

ALBION had another scoring opportunity towards the end of the game, but midfielder Daniel Bedoya’s penalty strayed wide, maintaining the final score at 3-1.
Under the guidance of head coach Diego Gómez, the team now has 27 points from 15 matches, holding a four-point lead over the Maryland Bobcats for second place in the NISA standings, with the Bobcats having played 16 games thus far.
ALBION San Diego is now gearing up to return to their home turf at Canyon Crest Academy, where they will face LA Force for the fourth time this season on August 13th.
