Chula Vista's own NOVA brewery continues to expand its wildly popular local brand.

On Wednesday, it was announced that Snapdragon Stadium has officially named NOVA breweries as the official kambucha of its newly-opened sporting venue.

According to reports, the Chula Vista-based brewery has a pair of bars stationed at the new local stadium located in the Mission Valley area.

  2. east concourse behind Sections 103-105

The stadium is built as the new home for SDSU football, San Diego Wave matches, San Diego Legion rugby competition, music concerts and many other events.

The announcement was confirmed by NOVA founder Tiago Carneiro and San Diego State Executive Associate Athletic Director, Mission Valley Development Derek Grice.

All NOVA hard kambucha beverages are completely gluten-free, vegan, and probiotic, containing no persevatives whatsoever. There are a variety of flavors in their drinks such as Watermelon Mint, Sexy Pina Colada, Hot Cactus, and their newly-released Strawberry Coconut.

This local brewery was originally founded in October of 2018, which means it is one month away from celebrating their fourth anniversary. The brewery company has locations in Chula Vista, Ocean Beach, Otay Ranch Mall, and will soon be located in Imperial Beach.

Tiago Carneiro, founder of NOVA brewery, says that they are proud to be part of the memory of current and future SDSU Aztec sports fans with this new partnership.

“The decision to partner with a great institution like San Diego State was certainly not hard,” Carneiro said. “We are proud to be even one small part of this immaculate venue that will create generational memories for Aztec fans and all sports fans, much like the old stadium did. We look forward to bringing our locally-brewed beverage to the stadium so fans can enjoy the great local taste and flare.”

Derek Grice, Executive Associate Director of SDSU Athletics, says that the Chula Vista-based brewery perfectly blends into the vision of Snapdragon stadium.

“We are excited to have Nova Kombucha become the Official Hard Kombucha of Snapdragon Stadium,” Grice said. “We built Snapdragon Stadium to embody our community, and as a San Diego-based company, Nova Kombucha is a perfect fit.”
