McClure said on social media that he is thankful for all the schools that took the time and effort to recruit him into joining their football program, including prestigious football programs such as The University of Arizona, The University of Washington, The University of Louisville, and Indiana University.

"I want to first thank all the schools that were recruiting me during this process," McClure said in his Tweet. "I'm humbled and very appreciative. I want to thank my mom and dad for always supporting me in anything I ever wanted to do. I want to thank my family for their continuous love and support.

The Mater Dei Catholic star credits his high school coaching staff for shaping him into the football player he is today.

"I want to thank my coaches at Mater Dei and Team Makasi for pushing me to not only be the best player possible, but also an outstanding young man. I want to give a special thanks to my mentor Coach V for the guidance and for pushing me to be my best at all times. With that being said, I will be committing to UCLA."

The senior at Mather Dei Catholic is ranked #18 in the state among the 2023 Top Football Recruits in California, placing him among the very best football players not only in San Diego but in all of the Golden State.
