It’s time to lace up those running shoes and make a positive impact on the community by participating in the 13th annual Chula Vista Champions 5K run, hosted at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center (CVEATC). This race promises a day of physical activity, fun, and giving back.

The doors will open at 6:30 a.m., setting the stage for an exciting day ahead, with the race itself kicking off at 8 a.m.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

The Chula Vista Champions 5K run is a collaborative effort between CVEATC, Friends of Chula Vista Parks and Recreation, the Chula Vista Recreation Department, and several other sponsors. The primary goal of this event is to raise funds for the Chula Vista Recreation Department’s programs and services, specifically their free after-school health and wellness programs for local youth.

Your participation in the race will directly contribute to this noble cause, helping to promote the health and well-being of Chula Vista’s young residents.

Post-Race Festivities

Once you’ve crossed the finish line, the fun doesn’t stop. Food vendors will be on hand, including a tempting $5 pancake breakfast. All proceeds from the breakfast go towards supporting the Chula Vista Police Activities League (CVPAL), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping less fortunate and at-risk youth in the community.

Registration is open, and children under three years old can join in on the fun for free. Your registration fee includes entry to the race, a stylish event t-shirt, and a commemorative race medal.
